The veranda, covered with wild grapes, was a place where the family spent a lot of time, but also a regular meeting place for friends. The members of the Zebeg\u00e9ny painters' colony came to the Sz\u0151nyis' house as a family for summer lunches and dinners, puppet shows for the children, birthdays and the traditional summer party, Stephen's Day, were celebrated here, which, in addition to good company, included the inevitable walnut b\u00e9gli or Sz\u0151nyi's other favourite nut cake.
