Creative workshops

In the postcard making session we will teach two techniques, the gouache painting, which Szőnyi used for his paintings on paper and the calligraphic writing, which was once a basic requirement in schools. In the days before typewriters and computers, people wrote exclusively by hand instead of using a keyboard.
It was not only in personal correspondence that for calligraphy, but official documents were also written in pen and ink, in carefully shaped letters.
Gouache, calligraphy and even the postcard are slowly fading into oblivion. These slowly forgotten techniques is brought back to life with a creative workshop where you can create a handwritten postcard for your loved ones, decorated with a unique painting, which you can send in an envelope to the post office as a Christmas greeting or take framed.
As a sample ancient times decorated with unique graphics letters to but there are also some old objects on display in the museum, such as calligraphy notebooks from the 19th century, that can inspire your artwork. Learn about two unique techniques and their history at the same time, embrace the knowledge and take home the artwork.

Written in calligraphic script, unique painted postcard can be a special gift for a special person.
