Nature of the foundation

Public foundation for cultural activities, scientific activities, research and the preservation of cultural heritage. Annual report of the www.birosag.hu can be found on the website.

The purpose of the Foundation is

Support for the cultural objectives of the István Szőnyi Memorial Museum (exhibitions, events, publications) Call for proposals, maintenance of Szőnyi memorial sites, promotion of the artist's oeuvre.

The foundation is open, and association is conditional on a contribution to the foundation's assets and a unanimous decision by the members of the board of trustees to admit the foundation.

The Board of Trustees decides on the assets of the Foundation and may use and increase them by unanimous decision. The Board of Trustees may carry out economic activities with the Foundation's assets and undertake business activities, provided that all income is used to achieve the Foundation's objectives. The Board of Trustees may also use all the assets made available by the founders. The Foundation shall carry out entrepreneurial activities only in pursuit of and without jeopardising its public benefit objectives and shall not distribute the profits of its management but shall devote them to its core activities.

Duration of the foundation

This Foundation is established by its founders for an indefinite period. It is already decided that the assets of the Szőnyi István Memorial Museum in Zebegény will be used for professional development.
